This studio offers original contemporary artwork in various media--watercolor, pastel and oil paint, by Tanya Kolganova, an artist, born in Moscow in 1962, educated in three art studios, four years in a Moscow Art School and five years at Moscow University, graduating with a degree as a professional designer. Her work is an expression of her feelings and understanding of the world, a world containing everything from stars in the sky, mountains, valleys, rocks, to a little butterfly or drop of water.

Artwork in this gallery is NOT FOR SALE.A few samples of imaginative artwork by this very talented contemporary Russian artist. Two directions of her work are more obvious. First, capturing the most beautiful impression of the moment -- the fiery bloom of wild flowers, mountains, trees, faces... The second is more abstract and almost cosmological, a reflective expression of philosophical understanding of her being and becoming. The idea of an oak tree contained in an acorn, the huge latent potential concealed in each of us, interplay of shadows and rocks, trees, butterflies, vessels -- one becoming another. It is all truly inspiring.
